The permanent magnet synchronous motor drive is based on interleaved bidirectional front end converter. The electric vehicle energy storage system has increased the efficiency and the dc link voltage of motor drive has enhanced the boosting purpose. The battery is used to store the energy from the motor during regenerative operation. The power circuit is fed into the bidirectional interleaved converter fed three phase inverter system. Reliability is the important factor in electric vehicle application. Interleaved converter has to reduce the ripple, and voltage ratio. The interior permanent magnet synchronous generator drives performance such as starting, acceleration, deceleration and braking operation. The performance is analyzed in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
