Wireless sensor network suffer from many drawback due to its limited battery power. In this paper, we proposed a technique which improves the 3D method with the reactive principles by adding hard and soft threshold to reduce the number of communications between the sink and cluster heads. The method to improve the load balancing further by the waiting nodes criteria has also included. In Existing 3D techniques a node might not become cluster head for a long time so it results in load misbalancing so this drawback has been removed by using the waiting nodes. The performance evaluation has been taken on the basis of FND (First node dead), TND (Tenth node dead), LND (Last Node Dead). Comparison of remaining energy has been taken between 3D technique and improved Reactive 3D-technique.
